Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry is an active group at Holy Cross.  They do various outreach services in the community including, “adopting a highway”, working with Habitat for Humanity and baking cookies for Kairos Prison Ministry.  You can also see them serving Wednesday night suppers during our “Family Nights”.

Men’s Morning Bible Study – You are invited to meet with the men of our church on Thursday mornings between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. The study, led by Rev. Pat Zimmerman, focuses on the scripture lessons appointed for the following Sunday and we will discuss their application to our lives and to our church. This will help us to follow the Pastor’s sermon more closely. Men may bring their own breakfast sandwiches and coffee. We meet in the library from September to June and take a vacation through July and August. Men’s Morning Bible Study will resume on September 4, 2014.

Men’s Softball Team – Holy Cross has a men’s softball team that plays in a church league in Clayton, NC.  The season begins around the first week in April and usually runs through the end of June and consists of 12 to 15 games.  One or two games are played per week at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30 PM with no games on Wednesday night.  In 2013, the team finished 2nd in the league and finished 2nd in the league tournament.  Signup sheet will be available in February.  Please consider participating in this fun ministry of Holy Cross even if you can’t commit to all the games.  No previous experience is necessary to enjoy the fellowship provided with fellow church members.

Connect Groups

There are a number of Connect Groups that currently meet outside of the Holy Cross Church building. Each Connect Group focuses on different aspects of life (ie. Topics Studied, Age, Gender, Location, etc.). As Connect Groups grow, they often branch out to form new groups in order to meet the needs of the group’s members. Group times, locations, and meeting frequencies vary.

If you are interested in joining a Connect Group, please contact Pastor Tom or the church office. Your information will be passed along to the group leader of the Connect Group that best fits your needs.
