Holy Cross Lutheran Church’s History
2001
Pastor Bill Beyer leads the first worship service with 123 people at the local roller skating rink.
2003
Land purchased; “Arise & Build” building campaign launched.
2006
First building completed (20,000 sq. ft.), Open Arms child development center opens.
2007-2010
The church enjoys several pastoral interns, known as “vicars,” and helps to launch a new church in Apex, NC.
2012
Pastor Tom Roma was called as Associate Pastor (2012-2016). Church purchases additional property.
2017
Building expansion campaign, “Building To Serve,” launched.
2018
DCE Rebekah Bajwa was installed as Director of Family Ministries.
2020
New 12,000 sq. ft. facility completed.
2021
Church celebrates 20th anniversary, membership reaches 700.
